Giving back to our communities is central to the way we do business
at Opsis. Whether it's funding innovative programs that make learning fun for kids
or support the old age homes, we are privileged to help strengthen our communities.
Two areas of utmost priority to us at Opsis:
- Prevent child labor and provide for transformation.......it would be real to us when the children we support rise to become an integral part of Opsis.
- Support the old to forget their pasts and live the rest of their gifted lives to the fullest.

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR
The Little Sisters of the Poor, run a Home for the Aged at Mahakali Caves
Road, Andheri (E), MUMBAI 400 093. The Home began in 1958 and is open to senior
citizens above the age of 65 and who lack the resources to live in a paying institution.
The Little Sisters of the Poor commit themselves to the care and well being
of the elderly, which goes beyond any consideration of caste, class and religion
or national being. There are 75 Ladies and 75 Gentlemen. They depend
entirely on the charity of the public, whose support has been unfailing all
these years. |
Life at the Home is shared in every way, joys and sorrows, limitations and strengths,
giving and receiving. As much as possible each resident has some occupation,
for those less active or in need of constant care, the involvement of all is encouraged,
including the families of the Aged, Staff, Volunteers and Benefactors. The
Little Sisters of the Poor are in possession of the Income Tax Exemption Certificate
under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961. Donation cheques should be made
out in the name of THE SOCIETY OF THE HOME FOR THE AGED. |
